On Friday last week we held our finial test of 2014 and what a great test it was!  Congratulations to everyone who put in such hard work.

The next couple weeks:
Classes this week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are as normal.

We will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this year so that we can all enjoy the Holiday!

Next week is the last test of on Friday Dec. 5. So be ready to hit the ground running after eating all that food!

Mat Update:
So our mats have been produced and I guess are setting at the factory. However due too the mats needing a special fright (they have to be shipped cross country) to insure they are delivered undamaged, we will have to wait until the carrier is available.

At the latest they will ship out by the end of his month, I have been promised that if they don't ship by Feb. 28, we will receive a refund on part of the production cost.

So please be patient the end is near!  ;)

Best way to keep warm when it gets cold?  Get into class and start training!

Update on our new mats: I was just guaranteed by the mat supplier that our order would ship out by next week.  Not sure what the delay was since that is close to a month later than originally stated.

It will take about 1 week to get to us and then installation should be easy from their (we already have everything else setting and waiting to go).  So that means we have about 3 weeks till completion.

Please note that this is a pretty big test and it may take a while to get to your group. Please be patient!  We have several kids doing the first part of their black belt test tonight, it should be a great night!

Great weather and great classes, Summer is really heating up!

With this heat we have the air-conditioning on, the only sweat we want on the mats comes from you working hard, not just burning from the sun's heat!

Under the leadership of SAMBO's forefathers V.S. Oshchepkov, V.A. Spiridinov, and A. A. Kharlampiev, indigenous fighting styles from regions including Japan, China, Mongolia, India, Africa, Europe, North America, Caucasus, and Russia were studied and blended into what is now known as SAMBO. After generations of civilian and military refinement, SAMBO has evolved into an extremely formidable fighting art with principles applicable to martial artists of any style. Like all fighting systems, SAMBO continues to grow and evolve in both its sport and combat variants.

A great morning SAMBO class! Awesome to see so many new people on the mats! 

If you have not tried our morning SAMBO class yet now is the perfect time, stop in and we'll give you your first couple classes for free! Get your throwing  / grappling game going today.

For our first full week of classes in 2014 we have had an awesome time!

-The children's classes have such enthusiasm and drive at the beginning of the year that their energy is highly contagious!
- The teenagers are really showing a desire to "up their game" and are striving to be great rather than "just good enough".
- Our adult classes have already upped the sweat level of the place by pushing the training standard we are known for!
